The City Government of Santa Rosa bestowed a GREEN Award to Laguna Water during the Santa Rosa Environment Day 2017 celebration last July 28.

The GREEN Awards, which means Growing Responsibility towards Ecological Enhancement for Nature, is an annual award that recognizes the city’s partners in championing environmental responsiveness and protection. This year, recipients of the awards include the Provincial Government of Laguna, Laguna Lake Development Authority, Globe Telecom, Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, Asia Brewery, Monde Nissin, and Emperador Distillers Incorporated.

This is the fourth year that Laguna Water has been recognized as an environmental partner of the City of Santa Rosa. Every year, the company provides support in SiLakBo (Sikad-Lakad-Takbo), a fund-raising activity for Save Silang-Santa Rosa River Foundation (S3R2) which is a non-profit organization and partner of the City Government of Santa Rosa in the protecting and rehabilitating the Santa Rosa Watershed that covers the cities of Santa Rosa, Biñan, and Cabuyao.

Leading the awarding ceremony were Laguna First District Congresswoman Arlene Arcillas, Santa Rosa City Mayor Dan Fernandez, and Vice Mayor Arnold Arcillas. Present to receive the award were Laguna Water’s Project Management and Technical Services Head Jun Fradejas; Business Operations Head Sol Dimayuga; Stakeholder Relations Manager Ana Martir; and Sustainable Development Manager Eunice Christine Ricaforte.

Promoting a healthier ecosystem, Laguna Water participates in initiatives for the environment and implements programs for the protection of natural resources. Having given the authority to offer its water and wastewater services in the entire Province of Laguna, the company seeks to establish new partnerships with various local government units, private companies, and public organizations to further strengthen its sustainable development advocacies.
